sam2k8 Were you/your friends running a Steam crack on the disabled account(s)? |

I was thinking of telling you to contact Valve, but apparently what I've read about Steam support being so slow is true. Apart from what hegyak said, did you and your friends happen to open your accounts from somewhere with the same external IP address, such as a LAN party? Another user got disabled for that recently, so it may be a cause. Whatever the reason, unfortunately there's nothing we can do to fix your accounts. |

My friends know nothing about cracked Steam, I also keep my cracked steam in separate folder. We didn't login with same external IP address and I don't even have some of these people in my friend list. one similarity among us is Russian keys which we've bought from the same web site. I activated a Russian homefront key and next day my account got disabled, however I have activated lots of Russian keys on my account and never had problem. Last week another person creates a steam account and bought a Russian cod:black ops key which can only be activated with Russian IP address and today his account is disabled after one week. Maybe steam become sensitive over these Russian keys been used outside Russia or after introducing Steam guard they disable accounts if you log in with IP addresses from different countries. We don't really know what's going on until we get respond from steam support. |

sam2k8 I would guess that the CD key(s) are stolen and you bought the stolen key(s). But, that's my paranoia talking. Please keep us informed. What site(s) and what game(s)? |

Steam support just replied to all of us, they want proof that we own CoD: Black Op. I guess you were right and keys are stolen, I bought this key 4 months ago. The owner of that website is well respected man and I know him for a long time, it seems the Russian dealer has sold him stolen black ops keys, he's also trying to solve this issue. They want us to handwrite our Support Ticket Number on cd key sticker and send a photo of it. Unfortunately we didn't get scanned keys, maybe I should create one with photo shop. |

Black ops keys weren't stolen, they wanted proof that we did not just buy Russian Black ops keys from some sites and we have the physical disc in our hands too, buying cd keys from Unauthorized Resellers is against their rules. We don't know what happened that they re-enabled our accounts, maybe the owner of that cd key site told them something. But they removed black cops key from some people's account, these people only had black ops in their account. I guess it looks suspicious when you have only 1 game in your account that activated with a cd key. this is steam support replay to them: Thank you for contacting Steam Support. The Call of Duty: Black Ops CD Key registered to the account has been removed. The sale and/or distribution of CD Keys for Steam products without the remainder of the retail packaged product (including all software, the media, the accompanying printed materials, and the license agreement) is not authorized by Valve. If you have further questions please contact the seller. |

I had suspicions that a corporates' greedy hand was behind this. This just confirmed my suspicions,I guess Activision doesn't want any lost sales through CD keys. |

Today all games that were activated with Russian keys are gone from our accounts. I guess they are tracking down Russian keys which are being used outside of Russia. |
