Post subject:  How do I install HL2 + Episode 1 + Episode 2
Hi everyone, i'm new here, and am in need of some help.
I really would like to install Hl2 ep1 and 2 but just cant seem to find away around the steam servers are too busy etc...when i click install/download
I know this has been asked before with various answers and what not but i cannot seem to find a way to go about doing what i'm trying to do. Also before you say search the forums and all that believe me i have, i've been looking for a way to do this for more than 5 hours, and have learned quit a bit in doing so, but i just cant put together eveything i'm supposed to do. :cry: Im currently using Isteam, and I also have cftoolbox in which i just spent 8 hours dl the files for ep1 alone, and putting them in steamapps to no avail...basically im just worn out trying to figure this out on my own, and if some1 could please post a quick tutorial on how to install hl2 ep1 (in particular) I would be so thankfull :D

Hey man I appreciate you helping me and getting me back on track.
I've actually visited both those links you showed me, but I used cftoolbox to download all the files for episode 1 ( except the 4 that it says you need to dl from cs.rin.ru update site, because cftoolbox wont dl them ) in which I did, and put all the required files into steam apps, ( 12 in total ) but it still didn't work. I think i know why, but Im just not sure. When I downloaded the 4 files required from the update site i just got the newest ones available date wise, am I supposed to get them in order..example fileblah version 1---then download fileblah from version1 to version 5 and add them both to steamapps or over rite?
