Why dont u guys just release a crack for the people that dled off of steam instead of having to dl a whole new release again. U can easily make a bat file to do whatever that needs to be done if its not just copying new files over.

that's fixed, it doesnt work anymore :P

I confirmed this release is working, but only with Ape fix.
Without Ape fix I got error message related with steam connection,
but with the ape fix, it has no difference with retail version.
For example, aux power is no more always red and hud shows second ammo properly.
Anyway I thank you guys who released this great one.

Guys I have a problem with this rls. Everythin was fine so far until the part where the npc lady got to the elevator and than all of a sudden stopped talking in middle of sentence. What am i supposed to do? :cry: The ai_disable 0 code wont work and im just stuck at the elevator part. I thought this rls was bug free.

About that steam connection. Make sure your running hl2.exe via a shortcut with -steam -console.

Also I've checked my netstat and my logs, no connection to ANYTHING is being made with this release.

I havent seen too many reports of that elevator-bug (I didnt get it?)

i also got the error about not being able to connect to steam. the shortcut i'm using has the -steam -console flags. the game would not load until i'd run the APE fix.

i also had the situation where alyx doesn't get in the elevator and you can't get any further in the game. as it says above - if you save the game just before the guards burst through the door to beat you up, and then load that game, it works.

this release seems to work better than the axpi one (aux. power bug has been fixed for one thing). mind you, another factor might be that i'm now using omega's drivers rather than nvidia's.
