NOTE: this update is for those who have #CS.ns release, or the ones that wish not to use patch12 of original CS 1.6 non steam!
(if you have CS 1.6 non steam original version, use patch 12)
 client.dll update on english windows :
c:\program files\valve
this should be the location of your valve folder.
open CStrike.zip and extract the CStrike folder into your valve folder.
 note: [if you changed the location of the game at its instalation, the location above can be diferent, just find it  ]

File comment: only some servers use this new client.dll, keep your old one to enter not updated server.

yes, client.dll is updated ussually every new patch, if u have patch9 just intall the new patch 13. this update is mainlly for #CS.ns version users

so if i update to v13, can i still play in v9 server or any older version?

#CS.NS has an oldder version. The update v9 from Rin.ru is what you need.
No need for update (by now) if you already use Rin.ru v9 update of CS 1.6 Non Steam version.

server should keep up with the updates too, usually they do... but any way i guess not, client.dll as to be the same as the server, older or newer.  _________________ .:.MISSION.:. #CS.NS Website.:.

the majority of server is using v9. so better not to update to v13. afterward i cant join the server.

i can be wrong, know i think wen i updated my client.dll i enter a server that worked with my old client.dll, so i guess you can enter servers with old client.dll.

I'm still getting a lot of 'your .dl differs from the server' messages. What can I do to be able to play on those servers?
