Step 1: Get a cracked client

Step 2: Download these files (already patched with dormine's 2006-06-10 patch):

half-life_2_episode_one.uha

episode_1_shared.uha

It's tricky, because the download link looks like a google ad.


Step 3: Extract the GCFs to your steamapps directory

Step 4: Launch your cracked client and play!

Files are archived with UHA, u will need it to extract them.

But unfortunately we can't play it through Steam Patcher cause they already made an update

We have to wait for a new Dormine Patch

F@ck. I started my client and it's real.
But u can start the download and patch it with the new patch llater.

please tell me howto extract from the 2nd gcf

cuz the first one worked but the 2nd one didn't i get some sort of crc error

When u open the "episode 1 shared.7z.001" file, what u see?
a .7zip file or a .gcf file?

Thank you for the files m8, I'm d/l-ing them atm.
So do I still need to patch them and will I still be able to play the game even after the recent steam-update ? or can i use a offline steam-app to play them ?

This is already included: [REL] Half-Life 2 Episode 1 Preload GCF patcher (Dormine's first patch for Ep1)

But a new update released for the game today, so we wait for a new patch.

if i open the .001 is see: episode 1 shared.gcf, and i try to, extract on 13% i get this:


and if i try to open the .002 i just get the root! where the file is in

edit4: i think the fact is that it just dont get the .002 file, also i open it, it doens't show something like a gcf, it just shows root

pls! tell me howto extract multiple archives with 7-zip cuz it doesn't reconize .002 !! PLS!

I'm making PAR2 files for both .7zip.
It could help in CRC-errors.

Extract 7zip from multiple archive:
- right click on "episode 1 shared.7z.001"
- choose 7-zip
- choose extract here

What version of 7-zip are you using?
I've compressed them with 4.42, maybe your 7-zip is old.

Edit: the file is extracting fine at me.
