Please take the time to read this.

What follows is a clarification of rules 1.1 and 4.8 of our forum rules.

This forum is not for posting ISO/scene releases that you found somewhere else. That's what warez forums are for.

cs.rin.ru is not a typical warez board.

This community is mainly about Steam, its games and all other Steam-related software.
Thus, threads about games on Steam should only be about

1) Getting the game working on cracked Steam or through an emulator/custom crack (post scene cracks only as crack-only uploads and only if they haven't been posted so far).
2) Helping to fix common problems.
3) Collecting questions & answers (FAQs) and giving cracking instructions.

From now on, game discussion threads are only to serve this exact purpose. We will not tolerate link spamming and upload requests (this includes asking for torrents). Don't make threads only to advertise your links either.

If you want to upload the game and post your links here, please do not upload ISOs and scene releases, but instead, upload the Steam version: ACF/Manifest files plus the game's "common" folder, and then either post your links in the game's thread in the Steam Content Sharing section or, if such a thread does not exist yet, send it to a staff member.

As soon as your links are approved by us, they will be added in the game's thread in the SCS (or in the first post of another official game thread).

We appreciate your efforts to provide others with games, but if you prefer scene releases, check out other communities such as [[Please login to see this link.]].

UPDATE: An exception to this are custom-made standalone versions with instructions. So if you have made a standalone version of a game that you will keep up-to-date, you can post it.

Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.

One thing I feel the need to add is:

- DON'T make request threads ("can you pls upload X game?").
- DO make info threads about new games (first post including game info, how to crack the game etc.)

That's pretty much all there is to it.

P.S.: Updated the first post with more recent information.
