Last working version for patch 2.4.5 is v1.12: [[Please login to see this link.]]
Last working version for patch 2.5.x is v1.15.6: [[Please login to see this link.]]
Last working version for patch 2.6.x is v1.18.6: [[Please login to see this link.]]

Note that you need .NET framework 4.0, which you can download here: [[Please login to see this link.]]

Right now the Validator is still being developed, so there are likely to be false positives. Also, there are likely to be errors in the Paradox files. If the Validator reports a false positive, please report it here so it can be fixed. And if it reports an actual Paradox file error, please file a bug report so it can be fixed.

Thank you so much Geoduck!

I'm sorry to bother but I think I must be doing something wrong while installing the NMIH mod.
I updated my game to 2.8.1 and installed Nova Monumenta Iaponiae Historica's All in One 0.6.1,
it shows on the launcher but even if I select it the game still loads as vanilla.

Thank you in advance.

EDIT: I noticed that when I have the NMHI on the \Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod folder it automatically creates a folder in \Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\ called NMIH AiO.
Inside of it there are 'dumps', 'gfx' and 'logs' folders. I tried copying the contents from the 'mod' folder into it, and the game crashes after the loading screen is completed. Any idea of what I am doing wrong?

  1. Extract NMIH_AiO.mod into \Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod
  2. Extract the contents of NMIH_All_in_One.zip (the folder NMIH_All_in_One) into \Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod
  3. Mod folder should look like this:
    • \NMIH_All_in_One\
    • \NMIH_AiO.mod
This archive is structured a little weird. Since there's a zip inside the zip, you'd think it would act as an archive mod, but it's actually a folder mod. You can tell because NMIH_AiO.mod has path = "mod/NMIH_All_in_One" (instead of archive = "mod/NMIH_All_in_One.zip" [which doesn't work, since it has the wrong structure])

This folder "tells the launcher to store saved games and temporary files in a specific folder. This can be useful for mods incompatible with vanilla saves (because of new titles, flags, religions, cultures, buildings, etc.), so that things don't get mixed up." ([[Please login to see this link.]]). It's created because of the line user_dir = "NMIH AiO" inside NMIH_AiO.mod.

[HIP Submod]Norse Heritage Overhaul
Erilaz wrote:

A submod for HIP

Introduction:
This submod aims to improve most aspects of the Norse cultures and those within their sphere of influence; with changes to melting-pots, names, titles, and more. What started as a small mod to add the Anglo-Danish culture and melting-pot to the game, for my own and a private multiplayer-group's enjoyment, has since evolved into a more comprehensive project to improve as many aspects of the Norse and Norse-derived cultures of the game as possible. I have decided to make the mod public in the hopes that others might find enjoyment, and perhaps the makers of the various branches of the HIP mod might be inspired by it.

After a long time using an old version of CK2 and HIP, I have been trying to figure out the best way to proceed when aiming to bring the mod up to date with the newest version: I have decided to split the mod into more or less independent parts - enabling me to convert a piece at a time, and the users to pick and choose which parts they'd like to have in their game.

PARTS:

NHO Base

Features:
- Reworked Norse character and dynasty names as well as title and province/holding localisation using standard Old (West) Norse.
- Reworked names and localisation for all Norse-derived cultures.
- Tweaked Norse culture conversion.
- New and/or tweaked character title localisation for neighbouring cultures.
- Other minor changes that enhance the experience when playing within the Norse sphere of influence.

To come: Reworked British melting pots, late Scandinavia rework, etc...

How to install:
- Extract the contents of the .zip file into "Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod".
- Select the part(s) in the launcher alongside HIP.
- Enjoy.

NOTE: When updating a part, please delete the old version first (folder and .mod-file inside the above folder). It's also always a good idea to clear the gfx-folder here: "Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\HIP\gfx" to avoid flag-related bugs.

Known issues:
- Norse characters have had their patronyms removed due to the inability to have proper grammatical ones with the current engine (Óláfrsson, Sigurðrsson, and Ragnarrsson is a no go); later Scandinavian cultures have patronyms since that is not an issue for them.

- Many titles, especially those replacing "High Chief" etc. will bug out at times because the dukes_called_kings modifier doesn't always work, and because the game can't handle the switching between tribal/feudal and pagan/non-pagan (meaning you may see High Chief titles again later in the game when tribes convert etc. and that sometimes independent dukes aren't using the king title when they should).

- The Icelandic Republic uses the merchant republic government in order to be playable and in-depth; this obviously causes some imbalances with income in that area of the map.

Changelog and old versions:
Spoiler
15-12-17
No Early Bascinets or Great Helms
- Female bascinets are now also replaced by more suitable ones.
- Made a new helmet for the Italian group that combines the chain mail of the "western early" and one of the East African nasal helmets.

14-12-17
No Early Bascinets or Great Helms
- Instead of the 1250 limit for all the Western "High Martial Headgears", they've been divided into 1150 (great helms) and 1300 (bascinets).
- Lower tier bascinets have now been replaced by the "western early" helmet.

13-12-17

- Completed the line of Bishops for both Skálholt and Hólar.
- Included the major families of the Faeroe Islands during and prior to the Christianisation (from Færeyinga Saga).
- Gave the Faeroe Islands an extra holding (Skúvoy) aside from the main one (Gøta) from 940 and forward (to make it more interesting), but applied modifiers to lower levies, etc.
- Cleaned up the history-files of the merchant republic family holdings in Iceland by making a unique one for each clan.
- Removed the extra tribal holdings in Iceland, standing in for the later holdings, since they are not needed anymore. (The code must've been fixed so the history files work for barony holdings that were not present from the beginning).
- Fixed, as well as could be, the issue with random dynasties being assigned to lowborn Icelandic characters from the history-files.

This mod seeks up upgrade the vanilla topology, terrain and provinces files to a more real-world looking layout. Although the SWMH map is significantly better than the baseline vanilla map, I wanted to take the map a step further for those cartography lovers such as myself.

All you need to do is download the .zip file and unzip it within your mod folder that contains HIP.

The links seem to be down again. Could you update them again, if possible? Thanks

Thank you Geoduck!

I think it's almost there, but now the game crashes at "Loading flags" when the mod is activated.
I deleted the files on the flag folder, and copied from the other folder (the one who isn't the All in One version) and it didn't worked either. Only deleting the flag files had the same result.
I have also reinstalled the game too, and I'm still getting that.

That "extra" folder I mentioned before, it has its own flag files under \Crusader Kings II\NMIH AiO\gfx\flags, there are two files called 'flagfiles' and 'flagfilescolor', only the first has anything written, which is '106442861', the other is empty. I tried removing those files, but the game crashes just the same and it creates them again.

Could it be an issue with the mod itself?
Thank you, and sorry for the trouble.

Is there a working download for version 4.0.6.8 of CK2+?

I searched through the thread but the only one I found was broken.

Just in case you didn't know the latest version is the 4.07 beta 5. There should be a working link a few pages ago

Is there a working download for version 4.0.6.8 of CK2+?

I searched through the thread but the only one I found was broken.

Just in case you didn't know the latest version is the 4.07 beta 5. There should be a working link a few pages ago

I was wanting to avoid the beta in case it was overly buggy, but I suppose I can try it.

Maybe I'll just wait a bit and keep playing After The End mod.

I'm looking for this mods, and can't find.
Can someone help?

Any idea on how to install the CPR module? It checks to see if you have the DLC on steam during the installer so it does not work with pirate copies of the game. I tried just copying the file from it's folder on modules (including the compatibility patches) but i get invisible portraits.

The links seem to be down again. Could you update them again, if possible? Thanks
It didn't work for me at first, but they seem to be working again. Updated one link to a newer version. viewtopic.php?f=10&t=64425&p=1602722#p1602722

Thank you Geoduck! I think it's almost there, but now the game crashes at "Loading flags" when the mod is activated.

Could it be an issue with the mod itself? Thank you, and sorry for the trouble.
I had it working to test, so it's not the mod. I was even using 2.8.1.1 and a few other mods at the same time. Are you sure you have the files in the right place? After opening up the downloaded NMIH_AiO_061.zip, you need to open up NMIH_All_in_One.zip, and then extract the folder NMIH_All_in_One into \Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod. You could also check the log files in \Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\NMIH AiO\logs to see if there's an error message that makes any sense. The mod developer had this recommendation for crashes:

\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II/map
\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II/NMIH
I know you deleted the gfx folder for the flags, but the map folder might work.

Move/copy your game install to the Steam location (\Steam\SteamApps\common\Crusader Kings II\). Probably only checks for the DLC files there, though.
