This is currently offline. You can use this thread to request ACF and manifest files in the meantime. This database does NOT contain full games, only metadata to verify existing game content.INTRODUCTIONHello everybody, With the help of SteamCooker's amazing sisInstall and Voksi_Bulgarian's fast internet connection and my programming skills, I present to you: I've been working on this for some time and I explored unknown terrains of programming for me. So, please excuse me, if you encounter any bugs. Any suggestions and bug reports are welcome! This tool will hopefully maintain a good database of ACF and Manifests files! FEATURES- A database containing ACF and Manifests files
- Search the database
- Download files from the database
- Share and upload files to the database
- A monitor that detect new/updated files
- Automatically acquire files to upload
REQUIREMENTS- Windows XP or lower won't be supported.
- A brain.
- No bad intentions.
- (Optional) Some sort of appreciation for my work.
INSTRUCTIONSDownload:- Open the tool
- Click "Load lists from DB" and wait
- Select the file(s) or game you want to download
- Save them anywhere and download them
- Done
Share/upload:- Open the tool
- Choose "Share all files" or "Share local files"
- Share all files: This option will use sisInstall to acquire the files from steam servers - Share local files: This option will use a built-in system to acquire the files you already have on your PC - Additionally, fill it the required info, such as steam login.
- If you're not comfortable with this, just use "Share local files". - Wait for the process to acquire the files to end
- This process may take a while - Wait for the process to upload the files to end
- This process may take a while and the tool could freeze - Uploading will overwrite existing files in the database - Done
Monitor:- Open the tool
- Click "Install Monitor"
- The Monitor will be automatically started (and every time u start your PC) and detect any changes/new ACF files
- Once detected, you can choose to upload the files automatically.
DOWNLOADAttachment: DepotDB.v1.1.1.rar Mirror: [[Please login to see this link.]]Output folders are in %temp%. CHANGELOGVersion 1.1.1- Fixed the install path of the Monitor
- Fixed crash, that could occur when uploading
- Added auto-upload feature to Monitor (enabled by default)
Version 1.1.0- depotcache.bat no longer required (built-in DepotDB tool)
- latest sisInstall will be automatically downloaded
- Changed method to check if FTP is online
- Added a Monitor to check for new depots
Version 1.0.4- Updated depotcache.bat (Thanks Christsnatcher)
- Changed ping IP
- Added more checks for uploading
- Cleaned and updated content server/database
Version 1.0.3Version 1.0.2- Removed "Exclude Free Apps" option (it excludes free apps automatially now)
- Added option to save credentials
- Added some security/checks
- Fixed duplicates in the lists
- Fixed search being case sensitive (it's case insensitive now)
- Some other minor changes
Version 1.0.1- Added Load Lists button
- Loading lists is now much smoother
- Other minor changes
Version 1.0.0WHY??depotcache wrote: Kasmotmot wrote: Hi Do we have any steps how to use this files and what this do ?? sorry just newbie .. thanks The way it works is one .acf file and often several .manifest files for each game. The .acf file contains some info but most importantly lists the .manifest files needed by the game, which Steam reads to know what game files to download or to verify integrity of game cache. Us, pirates, we have to use the acf+manifest files with TINcft and it does the same thing Steam does for legit owners when they "verify integrity of game cache", it basically detects invalid or missing files. Some members like to share .sfv files (to be used with QuickSFV and such) which, in essence, do the same thing; the difference is that these files can be created by anyone, on a game installation that isn't 100% valid and .manifest files are created by Steam devs and guarantee you a 100% valid game installation. Note that, with TINcft, you can't download stuff for free, unless it IS free, like redistributable packages included in a game for example (e.g. DirectX). But if you own games you can login with your Steam account through TINcft and download them from there, which is handy because you can choose to only download parts of a game, like a DLC for instance to upload and share afterwards! So why do you need TINcft and acf+manifest files? Well I already kind of said it, most importantly, it guarantees you a 100% valid game installation. No more confusion with update numbers/versions and wondering if you installed everything properly, in the right order, without missing anything, etc... No more running into any crash/random problems caused by invalid or missing files, etc... And on top of that you can "clean junk files", which are files that are not listed in the .manifest files and that the game doesn't need. TINcft is pretty user friendly and anyone can use it but beware of "list junk" vs "clean junk" and "validate" vs "validate/correct" because "clean junk" and "validate/correct" will delete files while "list junk" and "validate" will only list them in the log. It is good practice to first use "list junk" and check in the log what will be deleted, then use "clean junk" and finally "validate", I personally never use "validate/correct". Now if you want to know which .manifest files a games uses and more info, this is a useful website: [[Please login to see this link.]]Just enter the name of the game or its appid in the search bar, click the appid and go to the "Depots" tab. Here is for example csgo: [[Please login to see this link.]]Now it's time to use common sense and see that you will need "DEPOTID" 732 and 731. You'll need to click on each depot ID you need, in our example you will get the following: Depot ID 732 Manifest ID 5643163177646653968 Depot ID 731 Manifest ID 636954112709914074 So the .manifest files for csgo are: "732_5643163177646653968.manifest" and "731_636954112709914074.manifest" (at the time I wrote this, because the name will change with each update! Btw you can see how a .manifest file was named before by going in the "History" tab of the depot ID page, to know how many updates you missed or idk lol I'm just trying to write everything I know!)

I need to update the tool, so that it creates a list of the .manifest files that the person is going to upload. That way using the search function inside the thread, you can obtain what you're looking for or alert if a .manifest was updated! (because it goes like this "DepotID_ManifestID.manifest" and only the manifest ID changes, not the depot ID, so if you can't find the .manifest you need, you can try searching only the depot ID and maybe find an outdated version and ask for an update!). Also, we need a tutorial on TINcft and why using it is great (a: never be confused with update numbers/versions and wonder if you installed everything ok b: clean junk files c: never run in any crash/random problems caused by missing/invalid files d: reliable, unlike .sfv files, because they are made by Steam devs themselves and .sfv files can be made by anyone, with a outdated game etc... so it ensures you have the exact same up-to-date game than bought customers have!) and how to use [[Please login to see this link.]] to know which are the latest .manifest files needed for which game and such... edit: @Christsnatcher Thanks, I hope more people will join in on this edit2: @Royalgamer06 There it is (also I find it better to have the .acf and .manifest files together, the steamapps and depotcache folder are unnecessary) edit3: Btw, 2 little glitches that don't really matter but if someone could fix it: 1: folder names will be glitched if the game name has a symbol like ™ so it will look like this for instance "BatmanÔäó Arkham Origins" 2: the manifest list will contain a few invalid manifests easily detectable because they will look like this "DepotID_AppID.manifest" (so they are shoter)
