Features
  • 10 seasons
  • Safety Car and Virtual Safety Car (Fully manual, unless you're leader and you get slowed down by game itself before race restart if SC was up)
  • Rich car upgrade system (deep R&D) (5 types of upgrades)
  • R&D credits
  • Helmet designer (Custom colors only with selected basic design)
  • All teams available from start
  • New, fully captured and voice-acted Research and Development Engineer and Player Agent
  • Time of day editor (including Official and Random and Custom - Closed Beta info)
  • Formation Lap
  • Manual Starts
  • Manual Pit Lane Entry w/ Braking (you can get a penalty for overspeeding in the entry)
  • 22 player lobbies + Multiplayer Championship with up to 22 players
  • Pit Wall Boards
  • Realistic Penalty System (Time penalties, Normal Drive-Through penalties, Stop-Go penalties)
  • Car Damage Sensitivity, Wheel Tethers, Mechanical Failures (Gearbox and ERS at least - Closed Beta info) (Update: 4 levels of damage, with a new one called Simulation, which, basically, is almost Realistic Damage mod (almost))
  • Pro Surfaces (new track physics I'm very excited from Closed Beta; now gravel feels gravel-ly, grass is slippery, kerbs can throw you off... Wet track is slippery but also fun ;) )
  • Selectable Tyre Compound allocation
  • Practice Programmes (Practices are finally useful - earning R&D points!)
  • Expanded Broadcasting style
  • Normal and Strict Corner Cutting Stringency (return from F1 2015)
  • Customizable Weather Scenarios
  • Expanded Voice commands, including in-race changeable strategy
  • Probably a few things I missed or just wasn't in the Beta builds I was playing...

List may change later.

Closed Beta Impressions
EDIT 04-08-2016: Closed Beta has been officially ended. I'll do a full recap of all three tests I had sometime later.

EDIT: Nope, I'm too lazy to do it. A lot was changed after the betas...

NOTE ABOUT DLCs

There is a "F1 2016 Headstart" DLC or "F1 2016 'CAREER BOOSTER' DLC Pack". Since there are no separate depot for it, it should be available in game already.

It's already activated in the crack, MY BAD, OOPS.

Voice recognition activation
Like in F1 2015, the game has Voice Recognition support. This game has many more commands - extended information.
How to activate it? Glad you asked. There are 2 ways how to set it up.
1st option:
  1. Go to your Main Game folder (usually F1 2016) and find folder "installers".
  2. Go to that folder ("installers").
  3. You'll see a few installers there. INSTALL EVERYTHING YOU FIND IN THAT FOLDER.
  4. Done. Go and play the game now.

Alternatively there's 2nd option:
Watch the video I made quite a while ago for F1 2015 and follow my small tutorial. Don't mind the [OUTDATED] tag, everything still works perfectly well for F1 2016.

Enjoy the Voice Commands in the game!

Also, big thanks to moderators for keeping the thread clean! Love you guys <3 (Wait, do I need a "no homo" here?)

kthxbye

It would be a nice F1 Game this year after i passed Season '14 and '15.
And i have one additional info for you: The 'new' track you mentioned (and its not Singapore for sure) is the Baku Street Circuit.
Located in Azerbaijan, they host the European Grand Prix this year.

Honestly, I wouldn't be very happy about that... Since Codemasters are trusting us, I don't think as a PC community we should lose their trust again.
(For the people who didn't understand the beta point, Codemasters is having a closed beta of F1 2016. 300 people (100 X1, 100 PS4 and 100 PC) from CM forum + "alpha" testers will get the chance to test the game early (3 time trial tracks). It's mainly for handling check and possible improvements, rule check, bugs/glitches, maybe performance on PC, other stuff.)

Quick update:
F1 2016 closed beta is officially starting today, and....... I got the key to test it.
 Sadly, I will not be able to share any screens or footage of it (don't want to mess with T&C), but I might share some experience from it (I'll be using a gamepad (Afterglow X360) on PC). :)
EDIT: Well, I think Codemasters won't mind this... Well, the beta download is ~10GB (Around 15-16 GB when installed by Steam predictions). When you think that they are only including 3 tracks to drive...

Well, I can't still say very much as this is pretty much NDA:
Quote:
This agreement means that you cannot take, share and post any screenshots or video footage or talk about your experience publicly, online or otherwise.

I might say at least something about it though. First I need to finish downloading with my shitty net  (And I mean shitty net at home, the one you can see below is not my home internet )

Well the files aren't encrypted, but I may only upload them after the actual Beta closes. It's planned to be for around a week. (Don't want to mess with T&C, so I could test the game later also :P)
So, first impressions - game runs very similarly as the last one (performance is pretty much same), but overall it feels changed a lot. Loving the new physics. Also the new HUD is awesome. Although I found a few bugs already on only one track, but as this is closed beta that is to be expected. Sorry, can't get into more detail.

Yes, I understand! Thanks for more information, and will be the good, if you upload the files over the beta.
Enjoy the game! ;)

Thank god Codemasters are doing a great job about the footage - some dumb idiots already "leaking" footage... Not cool. We can't expect more betas if this goes on.
Serious part aside - spent around 2 hours total in-game today - enjoying it a lot, although I have a strange bug with my Afterglow X360 - if turning and changing gear, steering lock suddenly increases and it usually throws me off in a corner ._. Well it's a beta, bugs to be expected.

I think stupid business policy for codemasters.. Zero photos zero information. So there will be not pre-order... Limited beta.
I hope will be demo or anything.

The 2016 beta better than 2015 full game? I think I know your answer :D that yes.
