If I want to update the games from the previous version, how should I do it so that the save file remains intact?

The saves should be under "C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Apoapsis Studios\Airport CEO\Saves".
Only the settings are saved in the location of the game "Airport CEO\Airport CEO_Data\DataFiles\GameSetting.json"

Changelog:
0.21.11 is now released and it packs a number of important fixes. Deadlocking mitigations on a few different fronts and new tech for rendering large areas with similar tiles. This is currently, for large scale testing purposes, limited to only include terminal foundation (and of course floor tiles) and stands. Moving ahead we will expand this to sidewalk and other smaller tiles as well (so large sidewalk areas will still cause some stress for your system) and also improve the system itself. This is a first step of many in bringing performance improvements and looking ahead we will focus on the mentioned improvements, LOD and of course night lights rendering.

Work continues over the week. Please see the patch notes below:

As the globe keeps on turning we keep on churning out new patches. 0.21.11 patched a hole in the scheduling logic but in turn another was revealed causing a lot of flights to get randomly cancelled (honestly, we've all been at that airport...). Then there was the passengers who started complaining about not being able to reach their gates properly, that has also been fixed. Two critical fixes that should now bring back stability to your airports and they are accompanied by some other minor fixes.

Thanks for the updates :D

Does anyone have a 'fully operational' airport/terminal yet? I have been following some youtubers, and they spend hours laying out an initial airport, but few actually concentrate on the mechanics of a working airport. Or maybe I'm just watching the wrong channels.

I have an operational airport now, and i hope they add more features soon, because once you have all controlled...... is starting to be a litle...... boring. :?

Quite boring, indeed. It's very cumbersome to having to keep adding new contracts to the Flight Planner as there are no recurring contracts.
And the Food services feature is a game breaker... gives way too much revenue and you unlock it instantly. The criteria to build a food area is 1) size 2) nr of shelves 3) a counter. It doesn't care if you have any terminals let alone how many (how much traffic you generate) and it still pays you per square meter.
So in the end after an hour or so I built an airport with 6 terminals, my profit from those with a tightly packed flight plan is like 50,000, plus 4 normal size food area giving 160,000 (?????). - without which my airport would be in the negative as fuel services and baggage costs too much.
So, very static once you build everything, not complicated at all, I expected way more. Alpha or not.
